Our journey began a decade ago during a trip to Lower Saxony Germany visiting a close friend for New Year’s Eve. As the night progressed, neighboring villagers gathered around this homemade X shaped table made of reclaimed pinewood benches to converse. The joy surrounding this table was magnetic. As more gathered, the more infectious the energy became.
For years I searched (unsuccessfully) for that same table to entertain my friends and family. What began as a personal project quickly evolved into something bigger. We rallied a team of like-minded designers and craftsmen, and together we set out to reverse-engineer this iconic table.
Thus, Pröst x Design™ was born. We became the first to patent, trademark, and bring to market a premium quality and durable X Table™ made of powder-coated aluminum. Today, we’re proud to share our creation with an international audience, building a global brand to celebrate community.
The X Table™ is more than just furniture—it’s an invitation to come as strangers and leave as friends.
